Pharma Meetings ForumPharma Meetings Forum

To fully prepare for the launch of a new pharma meetings desk, Trinity Conferences held a forum in June 2008 to enable the agency to discuss in an open way how meetings management is changing in the pharmaceutical sector and how we as suppliers can respond to support our clients.

The next forum is to be held in central London in January. Location and dates will be posted here as soon as possible.

Jacqui's determined to really go placesJacqui's determined to really go places

AWARD-WINNING Stamford businesswoman Jacqui Kavanagh is set to challenge the meeting and events sector with the launch of her new enterprise Trinity Conferences this week.

Jacqui was recognised in the SHINE Awards last year for her outstanding achievements in the travel, tourism and hospitality industries but is really hoping to make her mark in an increasingly competitive sector through a unique business offering.

Unlike traditional and more established venue placement agencies, Trinity's key business measure will be conversion ratios. Agents have traditionally offered a free service, performance being measured on a quantitative, revenue base as opposed to a qualitative proposition. By tracking the conversion of enquiries, the Trinity team will ensure that they are giving their clients a precise service that fully meets their face-to-face marketing requirements.

A team of seven, headed by Jacqui, will work with a client base that reads like an A–Z of the corporate marketplace. The team represents a hybrid of employees from key agencies, hotels and venues.

Mrs Kavanagh said: "Trinity represents a unique venture in a sector that is going through so much change. Whilst there is a lot of consolidation going on, we have carried out research with our clients, all of whom are excited at our business proposition".

Trinity Conferences offers three types of service: venue finding for conferences and meetings; accommodation booking; and international venues (available from February 2007).

It focuses on giving the highest level of service to customers through experienced industry professionals.

Trinity Conferences joins the industry’s most dynamic global community, Meeting Professionals International (MPI) in a bid to do more business and deliver greater value by offering a myriad of content-rich, planner- and supplier-focused events and initiatives.

"Membership of the MPI offers beyond educational programming, it's a valuable communications and content platform that provides abundant opportunities to stay current and connected to the meeting and events industry."
